Managed data services provider says achievement will give customers the confidence their data is safe whilst enabling new working practices

Six Degrees Group has achieved ISO27001 Information Security Management Certification. It ensures the firm’s core platforms (data centres and networks), billing, data management, fulfilment and support meet the standards for information security.

Six Degrees said mainstream enterprises are facing increasing pressures due to mobility, BYOD trends and the need for offsite storage for backup and disaster recovery, all of which has driven demand for centralised hosting and Cloud services.

It added the certification gives customers the assurance that it will keep their data safe whilst enabling new working practices.

Six Degrees Group CEO Alastair Mills said: “The top three concerns customers have with hosting services are privacy, security and sovereignty. This achievement will help to allay these concerns. Our customers know the integrity of their data id a top priority. Consequently, we only deploy secure private Cloud services with their data housed in UK-based data centres that are ISO27001 certified.”
