Ward rejoins Three UK from Lycamobile

Three UK has announced former head of MVNO Matt Ward has returned to the business to do the same role.

Ward, who has over 20 years-experience in the telecoms industry will be responsible for driving the strategy and commercial performance of Three’s MVNO business in the UK.

Most recently Ward has worked for Lycamobile, where he was chief commercial officer for two years.

Prior to this Ward spent four-and-a-half years as Three UK head of MVNO between January 2014 and July 2018.

He has also held similar roles at Vodafone, where he spent 13 years, earlier in his career.

Commenting on his return, Ward said: “I’m delighted to be re-joining Three UK and excited by the opportunity to scale our growing MVNO division at a time when Three UK is making significant investments in network, technology and customer experience.”

Three UK & Ireland director of MVNO and carrier services John Dunican added: “Our MVNO division is a key focus area for the company and Matt’s breadth of experience and business knowledge will help us fulfil our ambition in the MVNO market.”

Three is currently investing over £2bn to deliver its 5G network across the UK and has recently extended its deal with Dixons Carphone. This will see Three continue to provide support to its MVNO iD Mobile.
